Currently on the final leg of their "Exciter" world tour, Depeche Mode release a new single, ‘Freelove', on 5 November on Mute. Taken from their universally acclaimed "Exciter" album, ‘Freelove' is written by Martin Gore and produced by Mark Bell.

This mix package of the latest Depeche single highlights the bands openness to new and challenging artists. The Console remix (part of a German Collective which includes The Notwist and the Tide And Tickled Trio) highlights this perfectly, a sublime minimal beauty. The "Little Rocking Suction Pump Version" by Sciammpeitziger (Domino Records) is next up, a shuddering ethereal enveloper! Atom (Atomheart/Senior Coconut/LB) then gives us an electro chilled brain pleaser, deep and beatific! On the flip Parisian chicdaddy Bertrand Burgalat (who has been making a name for himself with his own Tricatel stable and a bounty of top remixes) lets the vocal melody build to an ecstatic electro pop crescendo before dropping a La Funk groove and giving the whole song a backroom dancefloor twist. Cypress Hill maestro DJ Muggs lets the guitars loose to finish off the package. A mix for everyone on here we reckon, let us know your thoughts asap!!

Track 1: This "Live 'Bootleg' Video" is a montage of live and backstage footage shot on the tour. Track 3-4: Both "Breathe" and "The Dead Of Night" are audio-only recordings. All three tracks were recorded at the First Union Center in Philadelphia, on June 30th, 2001. The DVD also features four 30-second video clips (a "meet & greet" before a concert, footage of "Black Celebration" live, David from the set of the "Freelove" music video, and a soundcheck of "In Your Room").
